Why did you decide to become a business owner?
I wanted to not only do something I love but be able to build and grow that work into something bigger than just me. I also wanted the freedom that comes from determining my schedule for the perfect work life balance.
How did you come up with the name for your business?
When forming Detail Kings, my partner and I knew that we wanted a name to represent the pride we take in our work as well as recognize that our talents and abilities are possible through the Kingdom of God.
What market does your company serve?
We service the entire Central Florida area.
What is unique about your business?
We are different because we offer business and residential services from fleet contracts to in home details. Not only to we offer detailing, but we also offer pressure washing, paint correction, ceramic coating and so much more. We give each job the royal treatment because no matter how big or small the job, each customer is #1 to us!
How do you advertise your business?
We advertise through sponsorships, Facebook, Instagram, our website, our app, door to door, in magazine. and the best of all is word of mouth from our amazing customers!
How long did it take for your business to earn a profit?
Honestly, we had everything we needed before forming Detail Kings. Before starting our business, we had worked in the industry, so we were fortunate to have equipment and contacts which lead to our first contract making a profit.
How have you expanded your customer base?
Our customer base continues to expand through the quality of service we provide. If you do the right thing and do it well, it will get noticed time after time. Additionally, we are a mobile service provider; with each job our location changes which continues to expose ourselves to new potential customers.
What keeps you going?
I love what I do! It is so easy to stay motivated in this line of work, you literally see progress as soon as you start each job. We make people’s lives easier and who doesn’t smile when they see a clean vehicle?
What is your next big move?
We are working towards getting Detail Kings to a point where it runs itself. Our website and app help make that a reality by offering convenient scheduling options to our existing customers plus a convenient way for customers to share us to their family and friends. We are also working in the community providing summer jobs and mentorship to teens. We want to grow more on our employment front providing a great working environment and jobs for those who are in need or opportunities.
